DMB-9581E Series Multi-Channel H.264 HD Encoder & Modulator (All-in-One)​ is a high-density, flexible integrated device that combines encoding, multiplexing, encapsulation, and modulation for 8/12/16/20 up to 24 HDMI inputs. It delivers outstanding HD encoding and modulation performance. In addition to HDMI inputs, the device also supports simultaneous tuner input, enabling demodulation of tuner signals alongside HDMI signal encoding. It provides configurable RF output in DVB-T/DVB-C/ATSC/ISDB-T/DTMB formats.

 

Encoder Modulator​ (also called Encoder-Modulator or Enc Mod) is a professional broadcast device that converts raw audio/video signals into a broadcast-ready TV signal.

In simple terms, it does two main jobs:

Encoding (Digitizing & Compressing):

It takes audio/video inputs (like HDMI, SDI, or IP streams) and converts them into a compressed digital stream (usually in MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, or H.265 format). This makes the signal smaller for efficient transmission.

Modulating (Making it Broadcastable):

It takes that compressed digital stream and "modulates" it-meaning it places the data onto a specific radio frequency (RF) carrier signal. This creates a standard TV signal that can be understood by TVs or set-top boxes

Input

Version 1: Supports 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, or 24 HDMI inputs, plus 2 independent ASI inputs and 128 IP (SPTS/MPTS) streams, with multiplexing capability.

Version 2: Offers optional HDMI+Tuner hybrid input configurations, such as 16 HDMI + 8 Tuners or 8 HDMI + 16 Tuners. HDMI and Tuner inputs must be in multiples of 4, with a maximum combined total of 24 input channels.

Output

DATA1: IP output supporting RTMP, HTTP, RTSP, HLS, and SRT protocols.

DATA2: IP output supporting UDP/RTP protocol; plus 2 independent ASI outputs.

RF Output: Configurable for 16/24 RF carriers in DVB-T, ATSC-T, ISDB-T, Tb, or DTMB formats, or 32 RF carriers in DVB-C format.

(Note: ISDB-T RF output is limited to 1 ASI input and supports only 2K mode; 4K and 8K are not supported.)
