What is a Single Channel HDMI Encoder?

A single channel HDMI encoder is a professional streaming encoder designed for single-source video acquisition and network transmission, widely used in IPTV systems, live broadcasting, and video streaming scenarios. As a core HDMI video encoder device, it specializes in processing one independent HDMI video input signal at a time, realizing the conversion of local high-definition video signals to network IP streams for long-distance network distribution and multi-terminal playback.

Its working principle is simple and efficient. The device first receives uncompressed high-definition audio and video signals through the standard HDMI input interface from sources like cameras, media players, and conference hosts. Then it adopts mainstream H.264 and H.265 (HEVC) compression algorithms to optimize and compress raw video data. H.264 features universal device compatibility for stable basic streaming transmission, while H.265 delivers nearly 50% higher bandwidth efficiency, ensuring ultra-clear video quality with lower bitrate occupation.

After intelligent encoding and packaging, the processed video and audio data is converted into standard IP stream output, supporting common streaming protocols such as UDP, RTSP, RTMP and HLS. This enables seamless transmission over Ethernet networks, making it an essential hardware device for commercial live streaming, remote monitoring and professional video distribution projects.

DMB-8900AU Plus H.265 HDMI SDI Video ENCODER Decoder features high performance, low latency and low bit rates for IPTV/OTT systems, realized Video & Audio real-time transmission via internet, and adopts state-of-the-art compression technology of H.265 HEVC. As encoder, it support video source through the local USB files, HDMI/SDI video or over Ethernet in normal protocol of HTTP/HLS/RTSP/RTP/UDP/RTMP/RTMPS, or in NDI|HX streams for use with other NDI|HX compatible systems(NDI/HX option function,need extra cost for NDI/HX License cost), converte it to IP.

Meanwhile It support IP to HDMI,SDI Decoding function, IP streams or NDI|HX streams input HDMI out. DMB-8900AU Plus Encoding support 1 channels of 1080P H 265 video and stereo audio simultaneously, built-in self-developed full frame rate de-interlacing technology .

DMB-8900AU H.265 HDMI SDI Video ENCODER Decoder be applied to education, health care, IPTV, conference, remote education, news interview, court, public security, banking, transportation and other industry application.
